Continuing Education

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Texas A&M University is limiting visits to campus. When available, previously scheduled events will be hosted virtually via ZOOM where participants are able to connect via smartphone, tablet or computer. Registration for events is still required, even if free of charge, in order to provide connection information closer to the event date.

Innovations in nursing science, patient care and technology require nurses to continually pursue professional development opportunities that expand their knowledge and skills.

The Texas A&M College of Nursing is dedicated to providing high-quality continuing education that keeps pace with the rapidly changing health care landscape.

Graduate Certificate in Forensic Health Care

The Graduate Forensic Health Care Certificate will prepare Registered Nurses to excel in this rapidly developing field by drawing from a broad body of academic knowledge in forensic health care to assist victims of violence and trauma. The course instruction is delivered online allowing students to balance career, family and other responsibilities while advancing their education. This graduate-level curricula is available only to registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and an active, unencumbered RN license.

Students who relocate from one state to another state during the course of their enrollment may be unable to continue due to the regulations which many state boards of nursing impose regarding use of preceptors.
