AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program

The College of Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program meets the U.S. Army’s requirements for the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP). Military students are placed at our Round Rock campus.

For soldiers to be considered for an early Unconditional/Conditional Letter of Acceptance for their packet, they must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete a request for transcript evaluation
  • At the time of consideration, have completed a minimum of 40 prerequisite course credit hours of the 59 hours required
    • 12 credit hours must be from the following nursing science courses: General psychology (3), lifespan psychology (3), statistics (3), chemistry (4), anatomy and physiology (8), and microbiology (4)
  • Prerequisite and nursing science GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Cumulative HESI score of 88 or higher and minimum of 75 on each required section
  • Complete Kira Talent interview as requested

Soldiers with packets due to the AMEDD Review Board each August must be reviewed by the college no later than the preceding April. If a soldier misses that deadline, consideration by the college will be moved to the next fiscal year.
