Research Annual Report
Research is foundational to the College of Nursing's mission. We are developing innovations to enhance the education and preparation of nurses, improving the delivery of patient care for diverse populations and translating research evidence into practice.
Nursing research addresses inequitable access to health care by shaping scientifically and clinically viable outcomes. Our nurse scientists, who have built specialized research centers and established strategic partnerships, are experts in forensic nursing, rural and underserved populations, integration of primary care with behavioral health care, opioid and substance use disorders, maternal and child health care, cancer prevention and screening, public health nursing and chronic diseases.
Integrating our research into teaching practice demonstrates the fundamental component of scholarship in the academic curriculum. As part of Texas A&M, we strive to establish interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaborations in research to enhance the well-being of all people. We are dedicated to establishing innovative partnerships with a variety of public and private entities to support nursing research that addresses increasingly dynamic health care needs.
The Research Annual Report provides a summary of faculty’s scholarly activities, including current research and sponsored projects, presentations and publications.
