Your gift supports leaders in nursing

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Texas A&M School of Nursing. We are committed to educating the best-prepared nurses and nurse educators while staying true to the mission of our land-grant university in serving the needs of the state of Texas.

Private support of the school is crucial, and the impact of your generosity will be felt for generations to come. Creating a sustainable pipeline of nursing students committed to providing patient-centered care and identifying future nurse leaders in clinical settings, teaching roles, research initiatives, administrative capacities and patient advocacy is key. All gifts, regardless of size, make a positive impact as we work with nursing faculty, health organizations and community leaders across Texas to help address health care challenges. Learn how you can support the school by exploring our major funding opportunities:

Victims of intentional violence deserve trauma-informed care. We are leading the way in policy, patient advocacy and research to support patients, at their bedside and in court.

THE SINGLE LARGEST GIFT

Sue and Joe Knowles ’50, MD, want to honor the importance of team health care and provide for the next generation of rural medical professionals.

“Joe’s mom, until the day she died, always introduced Joe as, ‘This is my son, Joe, the doctor,’” said Sue. “She was so proud of him and all the sacrifices they had to make for him to get that education. Almost a century later, she was still so proud of his education and his profession. If we can help other people feel that way, that’s what we want to do.”

Their $7 million planned gift for endowed scholarships will support students in both the school of Medicine and the School of Nursing at Texas A&M.
