Golden Crescent Management of Opioid Risk in Mothers (GC-MOMS)

Golden Crescent Management of Opioid Risk in Mothers (GC-MOMS) is working to reduce the incidence and impact of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) by improving systems of care, family supports and social determinants of health in the Golden Crescent area of southeastern Texas. It was created in response to the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) initiative aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality related to substance use disorder (SUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD) in high-risk rural communities.
