Rural Engagement Scholarship
The Rural Engagement Scholarship at the College of Nursing provides $375,000 annually to support rural nurses seeking to complete advanced nursing education in the following programs:
- RN to BSN
- MSN-Nursing Education
- MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner
- MSN-Forensic Nursing
- Doctor of Nursing Practice
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Scholarship applicants must:
- Be admitted to one of the degree or certificate programs listed above
- Hold an unencumbered RN license in Texas
- Work in a rural health care facility in Texas, as designated by the Rural Health Information Hub
